⚠️ Important Note: "Were" in Formal English

In formal English, were is preferred after all subjects.

Even if

Meaning: regardless of a condition.

If only

Used to express regrets or wishes.

I wish

Used to talk about present or past wishes.

🔎 Conditional Inversion

Advanced speakers often replace if with inversion, especially in formal situations.
